As a state-approved ignition interlock installation center, our goal is to help you meet the legal driving requirements quickly, easily, and with compassion.
Step 1
Contact Intoxalock
To get started with an ignition interlock device, you must first contact Intoxalock directly. They will provide detailed information about the device, lease options, and answer any questions you may have. Once you’ve signed up with Intoxalock, you can choose Oshkosh Interlock as your certified installation and service location. Step 2
Intoxalock will Schedule Your Installation
Once you’ve completed your enrollment with Intoxalock, they will contact Oshkosh Interlock directly to schedule your installation appointment. There’s no need for you to coordinate the scheduling yourself—Intoxalock will handle the communication with us and ensure all necessary details are in place. After the appointment is set, we’ll take it from there, providing professional installation and the require calibrations throughout your ignition interlock requirement.
Step 3
Prepare for Your Installation Appointment
Preparing for your ignition interlock installation is key to ensuring a smooth and successful experience. Before your appointment, it’s important to check that your vehicle’s battery is in good working condition, as a weak or unreliable battery can cause issues with the device’s performance. You must watch the instructional videos provided by Intoxalock or go to our Resources page to become familiar with how to properly use and maintain your device. Additionally, be sure to download and set up the Intoxalock mobile app, which allows you to manage your account, track appointments, and receive important notifications. Taking these steps ahead of time will help you feel confident and ready for a seamless installation process.
Step 4
Installation of Device
On the day of your ignition interlock installation at Oshkosh Interlock, please plan to arrive at 9:00 AM and be prepared to leave your vehicle with us for the day. The installation process typically takes several hours and will be completed by mid-afternoon. Once your installation is finished, we will contact you to let you know your vehicle is ready for pickup. All vehicles must be picked up by 4:00 PM, so please ensure you’re available to return to the shop by that time. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us provide a smooth and timely service.
