Calibrations

Throughout the duration of your ignition interlock lease, you'll need to schedule calibration appointments at Oshkosh Interlock. Calibrations are state-required, so complete them by the due date to avoid service interruptions. Learn more about what to do, where to go, and tools that will be helpful during this process.

What Happens When you Fail a Test

If you fail a test before starting your vehicle, your Intoxalock device will prevent the car from starting. Depending on your state’s regulations, you may receive an immediate lockout if your start-up sample exceeds 0.08 BrAC. If your state allows a retest, you can provide another sample. However, if you fail again, the device may enter lockout mode, requiring service.

Temporary Lockouts

A temporary lockout on your ignition interlock device prevents the vehicle from starting for a short period due to a failed breath test or missed retest, with a countdown timer lasting from 5 minutes to 24 hours, after which you can provide a new breath sample without needing to contact Intoxalock.

Service Lockout

A service lockout occurs when the system prevents the vehicle from starting due to various factors, requiring you to log into MyAccount or call Intoxalock at 1-877-777-5020 to reset or replace the device before the countdown expires.
